Wayne Gates is the Member of Provincial Parliament for the riding of Niagara Falls, proudly representing Niagara Falls, Niagara-on-the-Lake and Fort Erie. He was uniquely elected twice in less than six months in 2014 before winning re-election again in 2018 and 2022.

As a lifelong Niagara resident he has representing working people on both the Niagara Falls City Council and as President of Unifor Local 199. Wayne served as the campaign chair for the United Way, member the Yellow Shirt Brigade to save the Fort Erie hospital, member of the city's recreation committee, Project Share volunteer, and member of the Ontario Health Coalition.

He lives in Niagara Falls with his wife, Rita. Wayne has three daughters, Chantal, Tara-Lynn and Jacqueline and five grandchildren he loves more than anything, Priscilla, Parker, Charlotte, Tanner and Tatum.
